The Shaw Melanoma Charitable Trust

In June 2001 a Gala Dinner, organised by Nicola Shaw’s mother and friends, was held at the Glasgow Hilton aiming to raise £20,000. In fact the night raised the magnificent sum of £67,000. The success of that evening gave the incentive to register a charity - The Shaw Melanoma Charitable Trust-for the sole purpose of raising money to help fight melanoma. To date over £200,000 has been raised and distributed.

Here, in Glasgow, we are now funding the first dedicated melanoma nurse in Scotland. Our aim is to continue fund raising to provide further melanoma nurses throughout Scotland. We hope you will lend your support to our efforts.
